Muneerah: I'm 16 years Old, youngest in the family and has one elder sister. have been in Jeddah for 9 years so far. And my ambition is to become an engineering.
examiner: what sort of engineering
Muneerah: Software (I dont even know what I'm saying)
examiner: how do u compare Jeddah with Malaysia? what are the difference u can observe?
Muneerah: Here... girls are not allowed to walk alone, go outside alone without any guardian. In short, girls have no freedom here. as for Malaysia, girls are allowed to do anything they want.. EnjOy Outdoor activites freely without any hesitation.
examiner: what other different?Muneerah: *apa lagi ek?* Here, the saudi youngster act rudely to their elders and no respect at all.. as I observe.. as in Malaysia, youngsters... as they meet the elder, they shake hands together with a hand kiss... you can make difference between youngsters and elders.. but here.. you hardly make any difference.
examiner: WHAT OTHER DIFFERENT? (she's stress a bit while she's saying it)
Muneerah: *alamak.. apa nie.. dah2 la... huhuh
* erm... owh yes! FOOD! a major diff. perhaps... Here, arabs people eat more bread whereas in malaysia, you cn find people cant live without eating rice with curry, fried vegetables and s0 on.
